The Jacket-Pot
[ It starts with a dare.
Tim and Damian are, if nothing close to friendly, at least at a point in negotiations where they no longer consider themselves mortal enemies. The instances of breaking each other's faces have dropped dramatically in the last few months -- a tenuous peace. Dick's relief is palpable most nights.
Until Damian opens his obnoxious little mouth to brag, and Tim should know better than to let the brat rile him up, but competitiveness runs fierce between them -- and there's no way his pride was gonna let it slide.
He takes the dare. Days of tracking Jason to his latest safehouse. Hours of careful surveillance, a plan of attack. Damian had no qualms about pulling Jason into a head-on fight, but Tim's more cautious: if he's gonna do a stupid stunt, he's gonna do it right.
(Besides, Jason didn't exactly ask to be dragged into another War of the Robins. Tim's not exactly brimming with regret over this, though.)
